Polo Blue Cologne by Ralph Lauren

Polo Blue COlogne by Ralph Lauren combines elegance and refinement with a fresh smell that lasts a long time. Polo Blue For Men was first marketed in 2002 and is a breezy update of the classic Polo fragrance. Some colognes smell good when you first apply them, but turn sour after a few hours of wear. Polo Blue has base notes that don’t offend and in fact will keep you smelling sexy until the next morning.

Polo Blue Cologne is easy to find. It has the trademark “Polo by Ralph Lauren” logo on the bottle and comes in a royal blue package.

Polo Blue Cologne For Men

Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren has an interesting blend of essential oils you don’t see together in mens colognes all the time. I’ve written about the essences in a number of men’s fragrances in the past month, so I’ve gotten pretty used to seeing some of the same ingredients in these aromas for men. But Polo Blue Cologne has “aquatic accords”, whatever that means, combined with clary sage, washed seude, verbena and velvety moss, which are essential oils that just aren’t listed that often. A chief scent in Polo Blue is spicy basil, which you’ll occasionally see, as well as a hint of sheer musk.

The seude and the musk are there to give you a manly, masculine scent, but this eau de toilette is given its identity by the basil, verbena, sage and moss. The result is a casual, fresh, elegent cologne that isn’t going to offend the ladies in your life, but has a distinct scent they will notice is different from the colognes they are used to smelling.

I would buy a bottle of Polo Blue For Men by Ralph Lauren and mix it in with my other fragrances, for those occasions when you want to throw your woman a curve ball, or simply when you want a fresh day scent.

One advantage of Polo Blue Ralph Lauren Cologne is that it’s easy on those who have allergies or are sensitive to strong, musky smells. Not every nose is the same, and some people react to the strong essences found in perfumes. If you’re one of those people, or you date one of those people, Polo Blue Cologne is one of those men’s fragrances that is less likely to offend.

Some claim that Polo Blue lasts a shorter time, because of this trade-off, but I personally feel like Polo Blue Cologne has a long-lasting smell. The base notes are definitely one of the strong points of most Ralph Lauren colognes, because they continue to signal sexiness and elegence when many mens colognes are beginning to sour.
