Lagerfeld Cologne

If you’re looking for a long-lasting fragrance that doesn’t overpower, Lagerfeld Cologne by Karl Lagerfeld is a cologne in the classic style that’s good for daily use, special occasions, work or even as a signature fragrance. I’ve always found that Lagerfeld For Men draws compliments while not offending the oversensitive nose. Personally, I would describe Lagerfeld Cologne as a woody or earthy fragrance with subtle spicy notes reminiscent of some of the so-called “oriental” scents.

Lagerfeld Cologne – Classic Men’s Fragrance

Lagerfeld Cologne by Karl Lagerfeld has stood the test of time, combining classic elements with a natural quality. Because the Lagerfeld product isn’t the newest or the trendiest cologne at the cologne counter, you’ll often find this solid scent at a great value at both online cologne outlets and walk-in department stores (relative to the other nice men’s fragrances in the department store perfume section). The list price for a 4 oz. bottle of Lagerfeld Men’s Fragrances is $46, but you can find 4 ounce Lagerfeld Cologne deals for half that price at online cologne stores. For instance, four ounces of Lagerfeld Cologne For Men by Karl Lagerfeld is selling for $23.31 at Amazon at the moment.

Lagerfeld Cologne Fragrance Notes

Lagerfeld Cologne was introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in 1978 and contains an unorthodox blend of warm spices and tobacco essence for a woodsy ambiance. Though the Lagerfeld producers recommend their fragrance for evening use, millions of men use this masculine scent for everyday, casual and work environments. There’s no mistaking the manly Lagerfeld scents that conjure words like “rugged”, “outdoorsy” and “individualist”. You don’t have to worry about citrusy or floral colognes that smell like a woman’s scent when wearing Lagerfeld Cologne.

Another concern you don’t have to worry about with Lagerfeld For Men is a musky or sweet smell, which is common with many of the more masculine mens fragrances. While there is a certain musk in Lagerfeld Cologne by Karl Lagerfeld, the muskiness in no way dominates the aroma and only adds character to this men’s scent.

Karl Lagerfeld Controversies and Public Persona

Over the years, Karl Lagerfeld has been no stranger to controversy. He has had a running feud with critics of the fur industry after he claimed that these animals would “kill us if they could”. Along the way, Karl Lagerfeld has maintained his vitality and good health by losing over 90 pounds over a 13 month period using the famous Lagerfeld Diet. Remaining in the public eye, Karl Lagerfeld has continued to design for celebrities and productions like Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl tour and Madonna’s Re-Invention Tour, while also starring in his own French reality show, Signe Chanel.
