Kenneth Cole Black Cologne
Kenneth Cole Black For Men by Kenneth Cole is a 21st century men’s fragrance and an extremely manly scent. I like the product description for Kenneth Cole Black Cologne, which suggests that it embodies a “black tuxedo, black cashmere turtleneck” and “a black leather jacket”. Now, I don’t exactly know that that means, but if you like wearing black, your going to like wearing Kenneth Cole Black.
(You know, maybe I should be writing ads for perfume designers. That’s a pretty good slogan for a throwaway.)
Kenneth Cole Black Fragrance Notes
When I say Kenneth Cole Black Men’s Fragrance is a 21st century cologne, you may not know what I’m getting at. But look at the ingredients information for Kenneth Cole Cologne and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
This aroma concoction sounds pretty modern and scientific: Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Isoeugenol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Geraniol and Benzyl Benzoate. I’m not even going to pretend to know what any of those do for a men’s cologne, because they frankly sound like something you would put in medicine.
Kenneth Cole Black Cologne does contain linalool, limonene and fragrances, so you’re getting a nice smelling fragrance. In fact, the overwhelming response is this cologne is romantic and spicy. If you don’t like spice notes, avoid Kenneth Cole Black. If you enjoy spicy cologne or your girlfriend enjoys spicy cologne, then you should probably be wearing Kenneth Cole Cologne.
Wearing Kenneth Cole Black
Don’t concern yourself that this cologne might smell clinical, because it is a masculine cologne for men’s men. Wear it on a first date or in any romantic setting and you won’t be disappointed. KC Black Cologne is less appropriate for a work environment, just because it is a strong mens fragrance and it could offend in a tight workplace setting. The base notes are quite mellow, though, so Kenneth Cole Black is a good long-lasting cologne that will offend less as the day wears on.
About Kenneth Cole
Kenneth Cole was born in 1954 and his father owned a shoe manufacturing company. Kenneth Cole attended college to become a lawyer, of all things, but he left his father’s business and his studies to found his own fashion house in 1982. Kenneth Cole Productions has never been one of the giant’s of the fashion industry, but it’s a respected middle-tier fashion house and has been on Forbes List of the 200 best small companies on four different occasions.
Kenneth Cole Productions
When Kenneth Cole started his business, he had to adapt and be creative. His plan was to set up a trailer two blocks from the Hilton Hotel in New York, but was told the only way to get a permit was if you were a production house or in utility.
Changing the name of his company to Kenneth Cole Productions, Kenneth got a permit on the basis of filming a movie about starting a shoe company. Two weeks later, Kenneth Cole had sold 40,000 pairs of shoes and had launched a successful shoe company venture.
By 1994, Kenneth Cole Productions was a publicly-traded company, though Kenneth Cole retains a 45% share and virtually all of the voting rights.
These days, Kenneth Cole Productions sell garments under several different lines: Tribeca, Unlisted, Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction and Bongo. Kenneth Cole has been a supporter of AIDS research, and is married to the daughter of former New York State governor, Mario Cuomo.
