Eternity Cologne by Calvin Klein
Today, we’ll be talking about one of the classic men’s colognes ever marketed: Eternity For Men by Calvin Klein. Eternity Cologne has been a top seller on the fragrance market since it first hit the shelves in 1989, to go along with the remarkable success of the Eternity For Women launch the previous year.
In 2003, Eternity Cologne For Women by Calvin Klein was inducted into the Fragrance Hall of Fame. That’s a remarkable accomplishment for a fragrance that had only been on the market for 15 years at the time.
Eternity Cologne Fragrance Notes
Eternity For Men combined refinement with masculinity. Eternity combines the fragrance of crisp jasmine, rosewood, basil, sage and greens. Eternity Cologne isn’t citrusy, like many trendy men’s fragrances. Eternity is strong without being offensive and it doesn’t have overpowering high notes.
That means when you spray yourself in the store with Eternity For Men, you’re not going to get a wildly different first impression from the cologne that will eventually touch your skin and linger for hours. Many colognes with strong top notes give a wrong impression of the cologne you’ll actually be wearing all day or evening.
Eternity Cologne has been compared to Tommy Cologne by Tommy Hilfiger, though a bit more refined and sexy. Like most of the best men’s scents, Eternity has a fresh and clean smell, though the scent is so distinctive that Eternity can be distracting to some.

Benaim’s latest perfume was the 2008 Bvlgari Jasmin Noir with Sophie Labbe, while his first scent was Ralph Lauren Polo back in 1978.

Calvin Klein Eternity
It’s hard not to become a cliche when you have been popular for 20 years, but Eternity Cologne has shown staying power while trendy colognes have come and gone. For instance, there are probably more men wearing Acqua di Gio right now, just as there are single men giving pheremone colognes a try. But when the pheremone cologne trend has played itself out in lieu of some new scientifically-proven technique for attracting women, and when Acqua di Gio is just another mens fragrance in the rotation, Eternity For Men will still be a popular cologne for men of a certain refinement.
