Cheap Cologne

If you’ll notice when you Google the words “cheap cologne“, cheap cologne is practically synonymous with “discount cologne” on the internet. In other words, the term cheap cologne doesn’t have the negative connotations you might expect it to have, or it has out on the streets. When you hear, “So and so was wearing cheap cologne,” the person is seldom praising that person’s ability to find good cologne at discount prices.

Online Cheap Cologne

Since we’re on the internet, though, let’s talk about all these cheap cologne websites out there. Really, there’s not much to say about poor quality colognes and perfumes, except they’re poor quality and you shouldn’t wear them. So let’s discuss finding discounted colognes for cheap that don’t smell like they’re a cheap fragrance.

In our discussion of “discount cologne” the other day, I discussed avoiding name brands when trying to find discount brands and taking notes about the good brands of cheap cologne you do happen to find when cologne shopping. That second point is going to be very important in today’s discussion, because when serendipity strikes and you find that hidden gem of a cheap cologne that’s perfect for you, you don’t want to forget the name of the brand or where you can get that brand. So keeping a cologne journal becomes important.

Thousands of Brand Name Colognes

Some of the discount perfume and cheap cologne websites out there offer upwards of 10,000 cologne brands at their online stores. When you’re searching through these brands, you’re eyes will start to glaze over and all of these colognes will start to sound the same to you. Inevitably, you’ll start to lean on the name you know, and you’re going to start browsing through the name brand colognes that are on sale for cheap.

While you might eventually find that deal-to-beat-all-deals on the highest-priced colognes on the market, most of the time, you’ll be making a mistake. That’s because the cheapest brand name colognes are likely to be the ones that just didn’t turn out quite right for that brand name fragrance house. You’ll be buying the brand name’s inferior products.

Find Less Famous Cheap Colognes

Instead, you need to be searching through the lesser known cheap colognes and trying to learn all you can about these colognes. Sometimes, an extremely effective cologne won’t be as famous because it doesn’t have one of the big perfume houses attaching its name to the product. On the contrary, some famous brands of cologne are famous simply because they have a designer fragrance brand name attached to it – and not because it’s a superior product. Sure, the best designer fragrances deserve their praise, because these are what give design houses their sterling reputation.

But what about those lesser lights of the designer cologne houses? You might ask yourself, why are these designer fragrances discounted?

That’s because they are a fragrance that didn’t work out exactly as the design house hoped. Meanwhile, a similarly priced fragrance from a lesser known design house is likely to be underpriced, because it doesn’t have a designer label on it. Find out which of these cheaper colognes suit you and focus on collecting a number of these to add to your cologne wardrobe.

Personal Cologne Profile

Through experience, try to learn which fragrances, aromas and ingredients wear best on you. Due to body chemistry, some perfectly good fragrances won’t smell good when you wear them. Other scents that might not smell good on your friends will be perfect for you. So get a good scouting report on your own cologne needs. Once you have that, start to search through the cheap colognes list, searching for colognes that fit your cologne profile. Once you get a list of cheap cologne that’s good for you, it’s time to start collecting cologne samples.

Cologne Samples

Read my post the other day on how to get cologne samples, then start collecting free cologne samples or cheap cologne samples. Focus on the cheaper colognes that sound like they might work for you. Every cologne sample you receive, test out under real conditions. Many of these will smell like cheap cologne and you won’t try them again. Some will smell pretty good on you and you might try a second time. One or two, though, will fit your body chemistry perfectly and be the cheap colognes you’ll want to pay for. Go back to the online discount cologne store and buy them. There you have it. You’ve learned how to buy cheap cologne online without making a mistake.
