Abercrombie Fierce Cologne
Abercrombie Fierce Cologe by Abercrombie & Fitch is a citrus men’s fragrance. Abercrombie FIERCE, as it is usually known as, is a bold cologne that draws attention to its wearer. Abercrombie Cologne For Men has been described as warm, musky and seductive, though “Fierce” is considered clean-smelling, too.
Abercrombie Fierce Cologne For Men
One big advantage of Abercrombie FIERCE Mens Cologne is that it comes in the tiny 1 ounce bottle, so you can test out this men’s cologne for a small price. One drawback to Abercrombie Fierce is that it’s popular, so you’ll occasionally run into another guy who is wearing this fragrance. That’s like a woman walking into a party and seeing another women in the same dress.
If you can put up with that occasional awkward moment and you enjoy citrusy colognes, Abercrombie Fierce Cologne is probably a scent to have in your rotation. As always, I would encourage you have a rotation of men’s fragrances and not one solo cologne – especially if you’re going to be wearing the commonly-worn scents.
Abercrombie & Fitch Background
A&F is a fashion retailer that targets youths ages 18 to 22 and has over 300 retail locations in the U.S. Abercrombie is synonymous with American youth, so much that A&F has drawn both parody in the pop culture and criticism from public groups. Abercrombie & Fitch has several lines of fashion wear, including Hollister Co., RUEHL No.925 and Gilly Hicks.
Abercrombie & Fitch has been criticized (and even sued) over their hiring practices, as critics have claimed that A&F use discriminatory hiring practices to exclude ethnic minorities. Instead, Abercrombie & Fitch wants its employees to have a “certain look”. That looks is a white American or caucasion look, and particularly an attractive white guy and white girl look. I suppose if ugly American youths had their own interest group, they might be suing Abercrombie & Fitch, too, since their hiring practices discriminate equally against attractive ethnic minority people, unattractive ethnic minority people and unattractive whites. One practice was to send recruiters to hire employees from predominantly white college fraternities and sororities.
Abercrombie & Finch Diversity Division
The lawsuit was settled out of court and Abercrombie & Fitch now has a “Diversity Division”, which hires recruiters to specifically seek out minority employees. It’s nice to see that the Board of Directors at Abercrombie & Fitch have figured out that looking good isn’t just a white trait, though I tend to wonder if their aesthetic hiring practices aren’t still discriminatory in a way. I should note that my nephew, a blond-haired, blue-eyed kid was hired by this company, so don’t think I have some kind of grudge against A&F and its employees. But their hiring practices were always a little screwy.
Perhaps even more disturbing was their lines of clothing that seemed to insult Chinese immigrants and their inappropriate girls’ underwear for pre-teens in their “abercrombie kids” line. Other A&F t-shirts seemed to insult the intelligence of pretty girls, while some Christian schools have banned their clothing on their campuses due to their “wicked promotions” – sexy advertisements, essentially.
A&F – A Final Comment
Whatever the case, Abercrombie & Fitch makes great cologne, and it’s worth trying. It should be noted that Abercrombie & Fitch also has done a lot of charity work and goodwill work in the world, something not every company does. Frankly, I’m sure that some of the controversies have helped sales, since Abercrombie & Fitch is marketing to a naturally rebellious section of the population. And finally, many people could care less whether a design house is politically correct or not, as long as they make good products (and don’t run sweat shops). That’s something that is never in question with Abercrombie and Fitch.
